About Fabio

Fabio was born and raised in North Vancouver as a member of the Hollyburn Country Club. In the years 1984 to 1988 Fabio reached 7 National Championship finals winning 4 times (3 singles, 1 doubles). In 1986 through 1988, Fabio was the #1 ranked Jr. in the country and represented Canada in many international tennis events including Jr. Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, and the French Open. He also won a Gold Medal for British Columbia in the 1989 Canada Games. In 1988, Fabio received a full tennis scholarship from Texas Tech University, a Division 1 school located in Lubbock, Texas where he played position #1 in singles and doubles. Fabio had the best win/loss record in the Southwest Conference in 1992 and his highest individual national NCAA ranking was #17 in singles and #6 in doubles. After graduating from Texas Tech University in 1993, Fabio decided on a career in coaching tennis. Fabio is a certified Level 1 Tennis Coach and was the Head Tennis Professional at the Richmond Country Club from 1997 to 2012.
